RevCast: from RevolutionSF.com (podcasts)
Commentary, criticism and comedy about movies, TV and all corners of geeky genres and culture. A sci-fi convention in your pocket.

It's fall and that brings a whole new set of TV shows on the tube for us to watch. RevCast hosts Deanna Toxopeus and Gary Mitchel are joined by Tegan Hendrickson discuss the new genre shows on offer.  One of the shows even gets two seered thumbs up, while another features free-range precogs.

The crew also talk about Tegan hijacking the DragonCon American Sci-Fi Classics Track and that she knows everything about "nuts". They figure out how RevSF co-founder Joe Crowe can afford all that sweet Manimal merch.

Podcast Queen Deanna Toxopeus, looks with fellow podcaster Scott Duschene take a look at teh new genre shows that the networks have to offer this Fall TV season.  What they find are slim pickings, full of remakes and strange hybrids.  And what the heck is that Even all about?  Can they stay upbeat about the offerings or will they slide into syncism?  Only time will tell!  Or you listening to the podcast.  They manage to pump it up with week in Nerdliness and the Nerd News.

It's the RevCast's first two parter episode as Deanna Toxopeus, Gary Mitchell and Scott Duschene take a look at the returning genre shows.  They look at Monday to Thursday nights on the big four networks, and the CW and tell you whether you should spend time with these shows or if you should go read a book.  And don't worry, there is still the Week in Nerdliness and the Nerd News.

The gang's all here as Gary Mitchell and David Farnell rejoin Deanna Toxopeus to talk about school in genre fiction.  How do our favourite works portray school?  Is it accurate?  Is it a metaphor?  Is it just an excuse to have cheerleaders chased by tenticles?  The gang discusses all of this, and take a look at the Week in Nerdliness and the Nerd News.  They get an A++ in our opinion.

This editon of the Roundtable sees us turning our big, beady eyes on the largest MMORPG on the planet, the World of Warcraft.  Our Podcast Queen Deanna Toxopeus ask WOW players Wesley Kerr and Margaret-Anne Park what makes this MMORG so appealing to so many?  Is it the missions?  Is it the role playing?  Is it the life size love doll?  (OK so that was EverQuest, you got us!)  They also share their Week in Nerdliness and the Nerd News.  So come for the quests!  Stay for the dungeons!

Superheroes and costume changes.  They go together like oil and water.  Or maybe that's bread and butter.  Anywhoo, Wonder Woman's recent costume change got us thinking, and talking about what motivates comic book writers to change the spandex our favourite heroes are wearing.  Deanna Toxopeus, Gary Mitchell and Scott Duschene look at some of the best and the worst.  There is also time for Week in Nerdliness and the Nerd News.

Revcast Roundtable Episode 067 - Summer 2010 Book Podcast

Our Podcast Queen, Deanna Toxopeus, is flying solo as she reviews the Revcast contributors' choice for books they want to read on the dock, on the beach or in their basements.  This podcast is so full of books, and discussions of books, that there is no Week in Nerd News and Week in Nerdliness.  Hopefully you will find something that interests you.
