RevCast: from RevolutionSF.com
Commentary, criticism and comedy about movies, TV and all corners of geeky genres and culture. A sci-fi convention in your pocket.

It's fall and that brings a whole new set of TV shows on the tube for us to watch. RevCast hosts Deanna Toxopeus and Gary Mitchel are joined by Tegan Hendrickson discuss the new genre shows on offer.  One of the shows even gets two seered thumbs up, while another features free-range precogs.

The crew also talk about Tegan hijacking the DragonCon American Sci-Fi Classics Track and that she knows everything about "nuts". They figure out how RevSF co-founder Joe Crowe can afford all that sweet Manimal merch.

Our theme music this episode is "Cultists On Board" by the Darkest of the Hillside Thickets, courtesy of Divine Industries.

Gotham may have returned, and appears to be swinging for the fences, but last season did not end on what we would call a high note. To go over the highs (Penguin!) and lows (Barbara!), RevNews host Gary Mitchel  got BatFans Christina Janke , Nathan Laws, and Mike Nelson to return from their look back at the first half of the season to see if their optimism for the show at the half-way mark was met. (SPOILER: Not so much.)

Listen in as they discuss which of them was able to even watch to the end of the season; how they break the show down by examining their feelings about each main character; how it entered too CW for CW territory with Leslie vs Barbara; the fact that schizophrenia just doesn't happen!; their love for Bullock & Alfred; their disappointment with the fall of Fish; the show's bad habit of sidelining characters; what they feel is main source of the series' problems; and Christina's lament that Constantine was canceled, yet, somehow, this show survives.

The RevolutionSF Revcast theme music is "20 Minutes of Oxygen" by Darkest of the Hillside Thickets. Find them at Thickets.net.

October!  The time of cooler tmperatures and pre-oscar bait movies. Hollywood has a whole new slate of movies, and it appears some of there are actually worth heading to the teater for. Deanna Toxopeus and Gary Mitchel are joined by Tegan Hendrickson to discuss the October 2015 movies. Along the way, Tegan proposes a theory about all good food coming on a stick.  Keanue Reeves and Eli Roth destroy Gary's interest in a horror movie.  Deanna calls "Air Hogs" "Air Force" and pronounces things in a Canadian way.
