RevCast: from RevolutionSF.com
Commentary, criticism and comedy about movies, TV and all corners of geeky genres and culture. A sci-fi convention in your pocket.

Once more we've come to the end of another solar cycle, which means it's once again time to take a fond (and sometimes un-fond) look back at the highs and lows of 2013.

In the first of these special episodes, RevNews host Gary Mitchel has blown on the cartridges, pulled out the save files and loaded in Player 1: Tegan Hendrickson & Player 2: Christina Janke to discuss the year in video games! From the new Console Wars, to Steam Sales and Humble Bundles, there was a lot to talk about!

It's December and admits the Oscar bait, there a few offerings for us geeks.  But which one to you use that gift card from Aunt Gertrude to go see?  Well, never fear, Deanna Toxopeus and Gary Mitchel are joined again by Tegan Hedrickson to discuss movies and make recommendations for you.  Stick around to the end, because Gary gets into some shenanigans that are crazy, even by his standards.

Did you not get a chance to attend Dragon Con?  Were you there, but missed the Twilight Zone panel?  Well never fear, in this special edition of the RevCast we have the recording of the panel for your listening pleasure.  Hosted by our very own Gary Mitchel, it features the talents of Shaun Rosado, Anthony Taylor and Don Harden (who is inharge of tech for the track and is apparently a wonderful human being.  Joe and Gary can not say enough nice things about him. We have the emails to prove it.)

October.  The time for horror movies, or so one thinks.  Sadly, Hollywood thinks it time for other kinds of movie, leaving Deanna Toxopeus, Gary Mitchel and Tegan Hendrickson grasping at straws.  Still, it's a worthwhile podcast to listen to as lament Hollywood's inadequacy.

They were thought to be lost forever in the Time Vortex, but classic episodes of everyone's favorite Mad Man with a Box have been discovered! Just in time for his 50th anniversary, nine parts of the Second Doctor's run are returned to us!

To discuss this news, RevNews host Gary Mitchel has crossed timelines with expert Whovians Nathan Laws and Mike Gordon to go over how the episodes were lost, found, and the importance of their recovery in Doctor Who history.

It's a look at the new gener shows, just as the November sweeps start.  What will your podcast crew be watching?  What will they be skipping?  Where do they think you will put your TV time?  And for the first time in recorded history, Tegan hasn't researched something.  The horror!  The horror!

It's another blast from the past as we catch up on our editing here at the RevCast.  This time we bring you what we thought about the September movies back in July.  But that month's gone, you say.  No matter, we have a fascinating dscussion about linking Peter Lorre to Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a sixth degree of Kavin Baconish kind of way AND Gary snipes at Deanna for going off topic.  I know.  GARY!!!  So come join Deanna Toxopeus, Gary Mitchel and Tegan Hendrickson as they talk September movies.  In August.  Even though it's now October.  And stay for the post, cause AWESOME!!!!, if a bit spoilerific.

Hey bub!  Wolverine is one of the best know superheroes in the world.  One of the most popular too. Did we mention that he was Canadian?  Cause he is.  For that reason alone, Deanna Toxopeus wanted to do a podcast about him.  Gary Mitchel agreed, because Marvel!.  Joining them are RevSF's man from Japan  David Farnell and, new to the RevCast, Nathan Laws.  Join in the discission ranges from comics, to TV, to movies, to video games.  And Nathan proves that he knows Deanna well.

Remember August!  We do too.  So much that we wanted to bring you this movie preview about the August movies.  It has Deanna Toxopeus, Gary Mitchel and Tegan Hendrickson telling you which movies were worth watching in august.  So you can get in your Tardis and go back and see them.  Plus there is a far too long discussion on Percy Jackson in this episode.  It's value added podcasting!!!
