RevCast: from RevolutionSF.com
Commentary, criticism and comedy about movies, TV and all corners of geeky genres and culture. A sci-fi convention in your pocket.

This topic has been a hot one on the Interwebs recently: the tendancy for Geeks to shame others for not being Geeky enough.  But where does it come from?  Weren't Geeks the victims of this torture in High School?  So why would they stoop so low as to join the ranks of their tormentors?  These are questions that our co-hosts, Deanna Toxopeus and Gary Mitchel have been struggling with, so they invited Michael FalknerJessa Phillips, Shaun Rosado and Nerdiquette 101 founder, Laura Haywood-Cory to sit down and discuss the issue.  Why not listen and learn about the problem, and some amazing ways in which it is being addressed.

James Bond is 50 years old and to honour his arrival into middle age, our Podcast Queen, Deanna Toxopeus sits down with Bond fans and experts, Alan J. Porter, Van Allen Plexico, and Raymond Benson to discuss the history of this iconic character.  They look at the original books, the post-Flemming novels, the comics, the board game, and, of course, the movies.  They talk about actors, Flemming's background, his famous notebook and how the movies snuck into the books.  This is a wide ranging discussion with people who know their stuff.

This week the Roundtable's focuses on the state of TV.  Our Podcast Queen, Deanna Toxopeus, gathers up Matt Cowger and Michael Emond to discuss what's good and what's not this season on TV.  There is copious amounts of discussion of Arrow, and some time put aside for dumping on Beauty and the Beast. They also spend time discussing the Nerdliest Thing.
