RevCast: from RevolutionSF.com
Commentary, criticism and comedy about movies, TV and all corners of geeky genres and culture. A sci-fi convention in your pocket.

We look at Battle of the Planets this week.  Spandex clad orphan teenagers from the 70s, brought to you by from Sandy Frank.   What's not to love.  But in this episode, Deanna Toxopeus, Gary Mitchel and  David Farnell look at more than the surface story, they dive into the cultural impact of this cartoon.  They even dive into the hidden secrets of the Fiery Phoenix, inlcuing Mark killing people and Zoltar being a hermafrodite with mutiple personalities and two brains.  And Deanna remembers a childhood friend with the coolest mom ever.

When we add in the nerd news and week in nerdliness, it's no wonder this episode is a supersizer.

Last year Aquaman turned 70.  (He wears it well, doesn't he?)   So we here at the Roundtable gathered togetherDeanna Toxopeus, Gary Mitchel, Shaun Rosado (host of Shauncastic) and their very special guest, Rob Kelly, Creator, Owner and Editor-in-Chief of the Aquaman Shrine to discuss all things Aquaman.  We look at history, characters, plots and, most importantly, how the universe seems to be conspiring against Aquaman being percieved as less lame.  It's a supersized episode full of all this and the Nerd News and Week in Nerdliness.
