RevCast: from RevolutionSF.com
Science fiction news and commentary with insight and humor, plus some really terrific short stories.

Were you confused when Sy-Fy added wrestling to their lineup? And not just because they forgot how to spell Sci-Fi? Then join host Gary Mitchel as he, and Orenthal V. Hawkins and David Perry step inside the squared circle to explain why it's not as unlikely a mixture as you might think. They go to the mat to look beyond the spandex and masks to dive into the history of professional wrestling and the unexpected overlaps between genre and sports entertainment.

SCIENCE!!!!  That's what 2012 was full of.  So in 2012 Year In Review Part Two: The Year in SCIENCE!!! our host, Gary Mitchel was joined by two actual scientists, Dr. Scott Viguie and Dr. Stephen Granade. They talk about everything from sub-atomic particles, the Curiosity rover, and even controversial issues like genetically engineered food and climate change. They also discuss ways to make science "sexy" again (Deanna's after the fact suggestion: Fishnets or Chris Hemsworth.  Or both, depending on your preferences.), if Sci-Fi is still pushing science, and how we are, in some ways, already living in the future.

This topic has been a hot one on the Interwebs recently: the tendancy for Geeks to shame others for not being Geeky enough.  But where does it come from?  Weren't Geeks the victims of this torture in High School?  So why would they stoop so low as to join the ranks of their tormentors?  These are questions that our co-hosts, Deanna Toxopeus and Gary Mitchel have been struggling with, so they invited Michael FalknerJessa Phillips, Shaun Rosado and Nerdiquette 101 founder, Laura Haywood-Cory to sit down and discuss the issue.  Why not listen and learn about the problem, and some amazing ways in which it is being addressed.

James Bond is 50 years old and to honour his arrival into middle age, our Podcast Queen, Deanna Toxopeus sits down with Bond fans and experts, Alan J. Porter, Van Allen Plexico, and Raymond Benson to discuss the history of this iconic character.  They look at the original books, the post-Flemming novels, the comics, the board game, and, of course, the movies.  They talk about actors, Flemming's background, his famous notebook and how the movies snuck into the books.  This is a wide ranging discussion with people who know their stuff.
