RevCast: from RevolutionSF.com
The RevCast presents clever commentary, criticism and comedy about movies, TV and all corners of geeky genres and culture.

Red Dwarf! It's a British sci-fi classic about Lister, the last survivor of the human race (conveniently, a loveable slacker. So take that, all you med school overachievers!). He travels through space on the mining ship the Red Dwarf. He has companions Holly, Rimmer and Cat, but you can read about that on Wikipedia.

If you are a true fan, you'll want the Red Dwarf Lexicon, an amazing two volumes covering all that is Red Dwarf. Our host, Deanna Toxopeus sits down with the author of the lexicon, Paul C. Giachetti. Joining them is RevCast regular, Nathan Laws. Together the three have a wide-ranging discussion on the show's premise, themes, characters, notable (and not so notable) espisodes and even how every show has a Cousin Oliver.

It's March! Spring is in the air and the warm winds have blown in some new offerings from Hollywood. Our hosts Deanna Toxopeus and Gary Mitchel sit down with Tegan Hendrickson and Michael Falkner to discuss the warming of the movies. In this episode, we learn that Tegan will do a lot for a movie ticket and some booze. Take note, listeners! Also she keeps a list of permissible mullets. Because why not? The contributors wax poetic about wanting a plucky underdog movie about Quidditch. And, for some reason, everyone except Deanna wants to talk about The Sexorcist.

The rumors about Spider-Man and the MARVEL Cinematic Universe started last year after a series of studio emails were leaked, and then the nearly unthinkable actually happened! Sony and MARVEL came to a deal where the web-head can come home! Or at least, to the movie studio created by his home! So RevNews host Gary Mitchel has called together a collection of web(page)-slingers, the Titaness Tegan Hendrickson and the Mighty Michael Falkner to fully cover this amazing news!

Listen in as they go over the details of the deal; how MARVEL had a movie plan that they could not change . . . until this happened; a discussion on whether the studio should go with Parker or Miles; what, if anything, this deal means to non-comics fans; when we'll first see Spidey in the MCU; if MARVEL could or even should try a similar deal with FOX; what the trio would like to see in the future & their pure speculation about it; and Gary making what might be the worst analogy ever, comparing Spider-Man to whipped cream.

The 80s were a wonderful time for action television. Every week, K-cars exploded and flipped on our small screens. Lone wolves would sweep into our lives, saving us from mob bosses, drug lords and the occasional communist. For our second visit to this topic, our hosts, Deanna Toxopeus and Gary Mitchel are joined by Nathan Laws to discuss three more 80s action faves, Remington Steel, Knight Rider and Scarecrow and Mrs. King. The also spend some time discussing sharks, including if Canadian sharks say sorry when they bite someone. Plus Gary gives the most "meh" endorsement of a game ever.

In this long lost episode, our co-hosts, Deanna Toxopeus and Gary Mitchel, are once again joined by Tegan Hedrickson to discuss the movies for January. In addition to the cinematic discussion, Deanna waxes poetic about the Librarians, Gary waxes poetic about Clone Wars getting Anakin/Darth Vader right, and Tegan waxes poetic about a nuggalope named Mr. Schmooples. We also beat a metaphor to death in fine RevCast fashion. Deanna also gets broken again.
